No, not HLSW, but something like SSH or RDP. Depends on where it is hosted at. Though, if the server crashes due to a fatal error, HLSW should still report it, so I guess you could try it.

Do you have access to the physical server console (not rcon)? Also, check all of the logs and see if there is any that provide more info.
