you guys should implent the day-night mod into it just like war3 which I think could have alot of potential to become something huge. like nightelf can stand still and be invisible or increased dmg at night for nightelf if they have that skill or whatever o.O i dunno ehehhe just suggestions. I'm sure there were some other races that was affected by night etc... can't remember thou o.O only play dota nowadays hehee.
Also, maybe add a few skills thats on dota? those are pimp ... and another thing that i really wanted to see is the ability to eat corpses ahhahaa... as a natural skill for undead o.O gnaw gnaw, like if they squat over a corpse and hold a button or something blood squirt from the body and you eat gnaw gnaw.. lol. o.O i did convert the natural selection model for skulker from NS into CS with correct control, which you can find at the shmod site if you search for "hero: skulk" eheheh its a total conversion for CS That would be cool to be added to Undead that it switch to that model while your eating.
My Idea How To Eat:
Squat over a body, aiming at the corpse, hold down +attack1 button with knife out (which will b replaced by the teeth) and it will eat the corpse for health hehehe... just an idea o.O throwing it out there lol.

its not taking it too far o.O, eating is kewl o.O imma add that myself ehehe... and adding night/day isn't hard fyi. It's just tedious work since the day/night mod already exist. I would add it myself if I had time to sit there to look thru all that script o.O but i don't got time ;P alala i guess the author don't got time neither?

imma have to say i really wanna see the night/day implented o.O... but i think i'll atleast add the eating if no one is gonna do that when 1.0 comes out ehehe ^_^... maybe the night/day thing can come later o.O once 1.0 is out then work on the next thing hehe, that would b cool. also i forgot to mention earlier to opion sayin it would take too long, You only gain health as long as you eat. There are plans for night/day implementation down the road. The transition will give all night elves a bonus to their racial ability, as well as provide them with invisibility.
I have outlined up to version 1.5 of the mod (with smaller releases between 1.0 and then) with the developers, which includes powerups that will eventually be found around the map at random, one of which will be a powerup that turns day to night for a short duration.
As for eating.. no. That will never be added to my mod. undead will never be able to 'cannibalize' dead players. And from the development end, it would be a pain in the ass to even implement since once a player dies, the information is available only to the client, which means that depending on personal/hardware settings of the player, corpses actually disappear or don't show up at all in some cases. So sure you could store the location of dead players, but there's no guarantee that any or all players will actually 'see' the corpses you or they are eating. Not to mention there are no event hooks that would allow you to know when you are near a dead player, which means you would have to run a task every .1 seconds (or so) just to check a player's location against the ones stored in your variable(s).

well as long as night/day is implented thats all i really care about anyway hehee.. but i think i'll just add the eatin miself o.O and if they set their corpse to disappear after 2 sec then they just miss out on the skill i guess ;P ehehe so ye it will happen lol, jus tnot officially hehehehe. but thanx for considerin to add night/day
