Warcraft 3 XP supports a new database backend

Post by Lazarus Long » Mon Sep 19, 2005 1:24 am

This is just a reminder that SQLite support was added to Warcraft 3 XP.

I've noticed that most of the downloads have been for Vault. A SQLite database is a file on the game server, just like vault.ini, It's faster, more reliable, and virtually eliminates lag related to saving XP.

So everybody help kill the Vault beast and join the SQLite fast lane.

We'll be accepting requests for vault.ini conversion.

EDIT: corrected misspelled word, thanks [RKS]i/you.got.pwned

Rofl. Vault doesn't lag unless you have well over 10000 players in your file.

Lazarus Long: And I know you didn't because the Server Files are version 2.2.6 and the file you posted is version 2.2.5, so do as I told you above and don't ever lie to me again or help is gone!

Don't forget, unlike WC3FT, WC3XP's vault prunes itself and cleans out old entries ;)

C'mon boys, sit strait, put your seat belts on and let uncle Lazarus drive in peace!

(great kids, excelent coders, but always picking with each other when they don't have anything else to do...)
