war3 xp and CS deathmatch

i am trying to run a server with both csdm and war3xp, i have them both running together with no problem, however the menu for weapons and the menu for choosing a race come up at the same time, and the choice for race disappears before a seletion can be made. i have tried to get ppl to use the menu to select their race, but u must be dead or in freezetime, and in deathmatch, you are only dead for a few seconds.
i was wondering if it is possible to change the code for war3 so that you can change race while being alive, and if the menu appears 15-20 seconds after player has started playing
anyone with feedback, or can point me to the right area of code, i could use your help
