I know you hate this, plz help

Hello,

I'm the head admin of Recoil Clan and i have been trying to get your WC3 FT mod to run on our servers by a mass request from members and also regular users of the server.

I have already looked at the installion guide which was no help as i already have MetaMod setup and more with AMX X and also other plugins to project the servers and give added features for admins and users.

I also have read your FAQ which still didn't help me and also scanning and searching the forums also didn't help.

So now i'm trying the third thing and this is to ask for help.

Now i have the latest AMX X Mod and MetaMod, I'm using the Vault way of saving XP for our users and also all client files and more have been checked along with a re-compile of the AMX X plugin.

Still i get this error;

This is a Linux AMD64 dedicated server

Now i know it states that the MySQL module has to be on even if its not being used but could this also be causing the errors?

I've just tried them off and yeah still same error just trial and error atm untill i get given the correct path.

Also now web management have given me rights for a MySQL server for this now and what are the tables ment to be like? or does the plugin create its own?

u don't need a mysql server, but if you use one war3ft will create the tables if needed....

Also, if the mysql module is on and you get that error, perhaps its a fault compile?

Well i've given it MySQL details and all that and hopefully all goes well.

If this could be a faulty compile which had no errors, not been edited since extracting from the zip and also ran on the latest AMX X compiler then what could be wrong?

I'll try the one from inside the zip once again and see what happens but if not where to turn?

Sorry for the mass posting but just noticed AMX X 1.5 is out and well will this help i won't know its 4AM GMT-0 and i'm tired and tried it all, will report back later today ^^

Well AMX X mod 1.5 seams to notice it fine remember they did add backwards compatibility, any way still a bad load error and i still believe its to do with the dbi...

Hi, Local:

Your problem lies with AMX Mod X, not anything else.

You are running AMX Mod X version 1.01, right? In the AMX Mod X SQL Modules package you'll find a readme file that will explain that the Pure64 build isn't functional, so you'll have to downgrade to version 1.00 to make it work (which Linux distribution are you running? If Debian Sarge or testing I build a working module for 1.01 if you are interested, but it won't run in other distros - at least in Fedora Core it doesn't).

I don't know if 1.5 fixed this up, I'm in the process of finding out, so I'll post an update if so.

I hope 1.5 can be used tbh ^^ cause running 2 admin mods 1.5 for our stuck up admins and only 1.00 for WC3 FT then only me with admin may work out as long as the plugin isn't hard coded^^...

As for the server its a v1.1.2.0+ (Linux, Dedicated) not much help i know... lol

Well i now have both AMX 1.00 and 1.5 running and only me seeing 1.00 as an admin no errors so far... hope all goes well and can't wait for word on a 1.5 release ^^

still nothing working right... bad load on 1.00 and that and i don't really wanna drop back to 0.16 but if the request is that then i may have to but telling the admins we lose a few plugins will be hard...

Version 1.00 works. Just download, install and configure it, then add the Warcraft 3 FT MOD to it.

If you are having problems with it, follow my signature's 2nd link and post back.

Hey Local here's a little tip for postin in these and any forums, Try that little button that says "Edit" quit double and triple postin...

Thank god he does'nt have a huge Sig to drag these posts way down...

Daver tbh i would but, then you wouldn't be wasting your time posting things i already know, the only reason i didn't is that during this time i was on a 56kb holiday PC so it was no help just clicking on edit...

as for 1.00 I tried this and still it bad loaded and i did everything that was said to install it, and i believe the 1.00 MySQL still has errors on 64Bit no dout hence why i was still getting DBI Errors

Something is wrong then, you see I admin 3 x86_64 (AMD64) servers, 2 of them with AMX Mod X 1.01 and my own compiled MySQL module and the other one with a stock AMX Mod X 1.00, and all of them are running Warcraft 3 FT, so that is why I assure you that 1.00 works.

By the way 1.50 should work also, it loads the re-compiled module, but fails loading the plugin with the error:

L 08/08/2005 - 00:42:34: [AMXX] Plugin "warcraft3FT.amxx" failed to load: Plugin uses an unknown function (name "set_maxmoney") - check your modules.ini.

it's just a matter of the developers correcting the plugin itself and it will work OK. The database access part is working with the stock MySQL modules, not the extra ones (those fail with a segmentation fault on my systems).

Hey Local,
I'm no computer expert, but I think the problem with your war3ft is not workin is maybe your 56kb holiday PC isnt powerful enough to run a war3ft server...
