You are not using version 2.3.2, you are using 3.0. Exactly which version are you using? Also, check the logs to see if you can find something

Oh ok the changelog says 3.2...so I guess that's what I'm using?

Here's what it says in my log.
L 04/22/2007 - 21:24:17: -------- Mapchange to de_dust2 --------
L 04/22/2007 - 21:24:17: [AMXX] Plugin "warcraft3ft.amxx" failed to load: Module/Library Class "dbi" required for plugin. Check modules.ini.
Ok I got it to load by uncommenting the sql plugin...but I dunno what that thing does.

well, according to the log, you are using 2.3.2. So, I guess that is what you are using. But, it is not recommended to run that version while running AmxModX 1.75+

And, if you are saving to the vault, then you don't have to worry about the SQL stuff

Can you explain to me what "saving to the vault" is? And what it does?

When you are saving xp, you can save to a remote database location or to a file on the server. So, saving to the vault just saves the xp to a file located on the server

But every map change it deletesteh xp saved..

Do you have it set to save the xp? If so, show me the first 10 lines of your war3ft.cfg file

Code: Select all

FT_saveby 1 // What should I save this as? steam id = 0, IP = 1, name = 2 (default is 0)
FT_admin_flag "a" // Admin flag required to give/take XP (default is m)

// SQL configuration

sv_daysbeforedelete	31 // However many days before deleting XP or pruning from the database (default is 31)
sv_sqltablename "war3users"	// Table Name, no need to change (default is war3users)
sv_save_end_round	1 // Save xp at the end of each round (may cause lag, default is 1)

I'm using the vault and you said I don't haveto worry aboutthe sql stuff. Mine won't run without me uncommenting one of the sql modules.

It should be saving it. Then again, I have never used save_by_ip. But, it might be one of the bugs it has with AmxModX1.75+. Try downgrading AmxModX to 1.71 or upgrade War3ft to one of the 3.0 RC releases

Hmm I'll try the 3.0 and save by steamid tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestion.

If you decide to try 3.0 RC6, save to SQLite (less configuration and no extra stuff required)

Running AMX Mod X 1.75+ with 2.3.2 should work fine since everything is backwards compatible.

I was running AMX Mod X 1.76d, Meta Mod 1.19p28, and Warcraft 3 FT 2.3.2 about a month ago no problems, which is the same he was running. I think the ip and name saving features in 2.3.2 have had problems in the past.
