Hello

At the moment we run our server with War3ft Version 3.0 RC3. We're saving our xp in vault. Now we want to update to War3ft 3.0 RC7 and change the xp saving to mysql. Is there a way to convert the vault into mysql so we don't have to reset the xp?

I've searched the Forum but didn't find something useful. If I've overlooked something please tell me and give me the link.

Thanks
Rahl

Nope, there is no way. I was going to work on one, but decided to give it up.

Yup. Your xp will be reset. The players will have to deal with it. You can always make up an excuse saying that your server had an issue and you had to reinstall but didn't have a backup of the xp or something like that.

OR reset/update and use the new cvar wc3_start_level which you will find in your war3FT.cfg (v3.0 RC7)
may set it to 4 or 5 for a few days after the reset and most of your players will be happy, that they don't loose all of there XP...

You should see my upgrade functions in WC3 XP for upgrading between different "vault schemas" or converting old war3user files to vault :P

Well, the thing is that nobody provided me with any of their nVault files, so I had nothing to go by. I never used nVault, I used MySQL at first, and now SQLite

does that mean, that - if you would get enough files - you may would start working on it again?
cause when you asked for the files first we just had an XP-restart and the files where very small...so, if you are still interested in it, i would upload them here

whats the difference between MySQL and SQL Lite? do they save the same way cause I don't know my SQL. I was gonna use nvault, which method is the best for saving, especially I don't know my SQL. How do I find that anyways?

Vault is no longer used in 3.0. And there is no way to manually put it into vault.
