Warcraft 3 MODs

I got two Servers running with WC3FT from Gesu.
one with an older version 2.2.3
one with a newer version 2.2.4

both running with AMXMODX 1.01 and MetaMod v1.17.4p23
both worked fine until todays steamupdate

the problem just happends on the one with version 2.2.4
after downgrading this on to 2.2.3 all works fine again.

the error what happends:

/home/hlds/wc3scs_l/hlds_run: line 424: 6966 Segmentation fault $HL_CMD
Add "-debug" to the /home/hlds/wc3scs_l/hlds_run command line to generate a debug.log to help with solving this problem

i know there is already a newer 2.2.5 version available but i dont have the time right now to upgrade to AMXMODX 1.5 so i have to use the older versions

This really shouldn't be considered a bug, at least a Warcraft 3 FT one. Since it was Steam that was updated, technically you should be filing a bug report against Valve in the terms: "Since your Steam update, last night, my perfectly working Warcraft 3 FT server sterted crashing. Since their product is error and crash free, please be so kind to fix your update and uploaded it ASAP.".

Either that or if you have the 2.2.3 version working and the problem is with 2.2.4, you can always downgrade the failling machine.

i just wanted to let you know about this bug...
if this doen´t interest you forget it
but i don´t think valve is interested in fixing bugs in thier updates just because of some not-supported plugin-failures...

but maybe some other serveradmins are interested in knowing about this "bug/feature"

I hope you understand our position, due to the broken compatibility that AMX Mod X introduced with version 1.5, it is very difficult, and we aren't even trying, to keep checking pre-1.5 versions. You'll be better off by updating your AMX Mod X to keep compatilbe both with updated versions and new features.

I´m already planning to update to the latest version
but i´m sure u know about the problem with work and time
