protection ability

an ability that is like neck but only effects non-ultimate wc3 powers...

wont be hurt by thorns/immune to orc nade....that kind of stuff

but they can still be hit by ultimates

Humm...

Not if associated with a timer and an delay interval, like 5 seconds active in 20 seconds interval or something like that.

(I liked that idea)

i mean just damage abilities...bash, impale

it could have a 25% chance to do it...doesnt have to be 100

it can be opposite of what i was thinking originaly...gives immunity from people being able to get life off u if they have vampire, cant steal money, bash wouldnt work....but all things that do extra damage still hurt you.

hey i as wondering, u know there is a power were you can take life of the enemy if you hit them, forgotten wat its called, well anyway, what is 2 people have that power and shoot erach other in the head with awps close range at xactly the same time would they both end up with each others 100 hp :)

Nice idea by the way like it.

An Undead would go to run by and they'd lose all stamina/levitation/vampiric.
A Human would look visable, lose Bash (no way lose Xtra HP)
An Orc would lose Orc nade?

....To stop myself short of listing all the classes, I don't like the idea. Its unfair to take three abilities away from one class, and only one or two away from another. My personal opinion. The ideas I had were to stop individual abilities was more specificly targeting each class.

Undead: Well you've already got items that slow a target upon hit.
Human: Needed a way to find them while invisible*.
Orc/Elf: These classes have little special other than extra damage.
Blood Mage: A Thief Trap to damage them based on the % they steal from you.
Shadow Hunter: A way to bypass the wards
Warden: Not much to stop for abilities
Crypt Lord: Maybe a can of Raid for the Carrion? j/k

....A few classes have annoying abilities. Humans hiding in the dark (which I do myself), Bloods stealing your loot (btw, Banish makes no sense seeing as I want to hit my target to steal, not send him flying), and the Serpent Wards of the Shadow Hunter which we use on doorways and objectives to keep bombs/satchels from being planted.

All an opinion of course.

The only valid way of having a "protection" item is if it both stops enemy skills and the player's skills, essentially reverting them to non-WC3 except for ultimates.

wish there was an item just to stop serpent wards, cause it really annying when people do it over the bomb :? dorways etc i dont mind cause u can just jump thru and hs them but the bomb is takin the piss.

well in war3ng, you'll be able to destroy serpent wards.... I'm going to allow people to buy a gem, which will reveal invisible people and invisible items :P

The gem will also allow you to shoot the serpent wards !!!! :P :P (they won't look the same, I'll need to find a model for them)

I know you can do it in cs source map makin, u can make bolts of lightning, dont think u can nick the models from it though, could try.

orcs orc nade and possibly critical strike wouldnt work on whoever had the ability

nighelves thorns wouldnt hurt him and trueshot wouldnt do its damage but they could still evade...

how do you figure? im saying that ability for a race...not a item...

and ultimates would still kill...it would be close to normal for whoever has the ability except people still can jump high/ultimates can still kill/people are still invis...even with that ability every race has atleast 2 abilities that work still against it.
