meta mod in 2.2.5

Post by GUNN3R17 » Tue Aug 09, 2005 1:53 am

the metamod thats packaged with the current 2.2.5 d/l is smaller then the one you get from the meta mod site.....it give a playername error right when i started my server(windows) with the one packaged with the current 2.2.5 d/l...was using amxx 1.5 aswell

after updating from the metamod site it fixed it

update from metamod site ===1.13 mb

the current one===131 kb

is there a reason that the 2.2.5 package uses a different one or should it be changed to the one from the meta mod site??

GUNN3R17:

OMG, how does it even load? You are trying to run AMX Mod X 1.50 with Metamod 1.17.4, and the newest AMX Mod X needs 1.18.0, since Metamod 1.18.0 isn't yet released, AMX Mod X is running with Metamod-p 1.18p24 wich is the binary you got in the bundle archive.

In short, use the metamod.dll packaged with Warcraft 3 FT.

Lazarus

Don't know of a release date, but as Geesu said ignore the error.

I myself don't use the Metamod DLL ever since Metamod-p was released. I consider it faster and kinder to the system and it has a shorter update/fix wait so your error is prone to be quickly fixed with a new release as soon as someone reports it (I checked my logs and didn't find that error nowhere in them, but I'm running Linux versions, not Windows so it might be specific).
