Something wrong with favorites/history on Steam

Yesterday I was playing about 10 war3 servers, And i checked today so I can join one of them but there was none of them on the history tab. I checked the favorites and they weren't there. Anyone have a suggestion about that?

Stop Steam, go to the config folder under your Steam installation path (normally it's "%ProgramFiles%/Valve/Steam" but you might have changed it), delete the serverbrowser.vdf file and restart Steam.

This only does it for the future or does it put all the history back? Im kinda scared about the part of deleting a serverbrowsing file.

It starts fresh. It's impossible to put your history back if it isn't being saved due to a fluke in the file, no?

It does erase your favorites, so you'll have to re-add them again.
